Viewers of public TV will see future shows on a Laguna Pueblo tradition, the history of the ancient game of lacrosse, alternative energy and other compelling stories by and about Native Americans with the help of NAPT. The organization awarded more than $200,000 to documentary filmmakers in 2007 in its annual funding program for television proposals intended for public broadcasting. Read more.
Put NAPT on Your Gift List

In this season of giving, NAPT hopes we'll be on your holiday list to help us support new production and training oppor-
tunities for Native Americans. The VisionMaker Fund was created last year to aid filmmakers through many venues beyond public broadcasting.

Your tax-deductible gift will assist us in developing new programming and talent to produce feature films. You can also donate a portion of your retirement. Those who are 71 and have an IRA can donate up to $100,000. Call Kim Baca, NAPT marketing director, at 505-604-3517 for questions on how to donate a portion of your retirement or donate now.
Native Radio Theater Call for Scripts

NAPT is accepting scripts for its third season of the Native Radio Theater project.

Scripts should be short works, 10-minute or one-act plays no more than an hour in length from Native American theater companies, authors or playwrights. Postmarked deadline is Dec. 20, 2007. A national panel will select three finalists by April. Winners will split a prize of $1,000. Funding for production will also be available for chosen projects.
