JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Manager, Online Facilitation & Community is responsible for managing the PBS TeacherLine facilitator program and PBS Education’s online communities through training and support of faculty and community staff. The Manager, Online Facilitation & Community is also responsible for management of the graduate credit provider program, which includes several colleges and universities that provide graduate credit for learners that successfully complete PBS TeacherLine courses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Support the online facilitators through management of a private online community, online faculty meetings, and support documentation
- Improve facilitator practices with ongoing professional development opportunities, regular performance reviews, and a mentoring program for new facilitators
- Perform administrative duties including assigning facilitators to course sections, managing contracts, and processing payments
- Improve the visibility and recognition of the PBS TeacherLine online facilitator program across PBS, the industry, and customers and partners
- Help to create new professional development offerings across PBS Education products and services
- Analyze learner and facilitator feedback and user data to help improve the online courses
- Communicate facilitator information with participating PBS TeacherLine stations
- Submit applications for and conduct presentations at educational conferences and TeacherLine events on program topics related to online facilitation
