WNYC Radio seeks a highly-skilled Multimedia Producer to join a tremendously creative staff that serves a passionate, diverse audience and produces an unparalleled product.

Reporting to Radiolab’s Communications Manager, the Multimedia Producer will create compelling multimedia projects to express engaging, thought-provoking visual stories that expand on big ideas addressed in Radiolab podcasts, as well as stories that explore entirely new topics and questions as independent features on radiolab.org.

The Multimedia Producer must have comfort and experience when dealing with scientific content. The ability to communicate with a wide range of people is key. Social-savvy and attention to detail are important qualities. The successful candidate will be a good storyteller, have a keen eye for stunning images, and show an enthusiasm for experimenting with fresh concepts and mediums. An inquisitive nature, and enthusiasm for experimenting with innovative ideas and tools, and an ability to work in a tightly-knit team are required.

Multimedia features may include video, text, audio, still photography, graphics, and animation. Candidates should have knowledge of leading graphic, video, and audio tools such as Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro, and ProTools. Technical savvy and comfort exploring and using a range of multimedia distribution platforms is required.
