Siyo, To our loyal readers, you are reading the last print edition of VisionMaker, our national newsletter since the first edition over twenty-five years ago. And over those years, our readership list grew to over 12,000 for our twice a year updates on happenings, news and program announcements in Indian Media.
We began sending monthly e-newsletters to subscribers in May, and now the e-newsletters arrive in your e-mailboxes on the second Tuesday of each month. This has much to do with how technology allows us faster means of telecommunications, but even better, more news from NAPT and Indian media more current and more often than the old snail mail way. We’ve come a long way since our first networking study we did in 1982 called, “Smoke Signals by Satellite”.
So we hope you enjoy our new electronic monthly edition of our VisionMaker newsletter, and invite you to subscribe by email. Our new version features a number of short easy to read articles with Internet links for further information. An archive of the e-newsletters is also available on-line.
“The e-newsletter will replace the biannual paper newsletter,” Technology Coordinator Beth Wagoner said, “Instead, NAPT will focus on developing a printed annual report.”
To sign up for the e-newsletter, enter your email address using the form on each of our websites, www.nativetelecom.org, www.airos.org, and www.visionmaker.org.
I hope the coming change of seasons is good for you, and you will continue to want our newsletter via email. Send us your comments too. Aho, Frank Blythe, Executive Director.
