With support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Producer
Opportunity Fund has been established to help Native TV and fi lm producers
advance their careers
through professional development. Quarterly deadlines will help producers
take advantage of opportunities to attend workshops, fi lm festivals or Public
Broadcasting
conferences, said Assistant Director Shirley K. Sneve.
“The fund will grant up to $500 for producers. These are matching
grants to help defray costs. Other sources of funding may come from the producer’s
tribe, personal
funds, or other grants from organizations, such as state arts agencies,”
