Seminole

Quese Imc is an award-winning Hip Hop emcee, independent music producer and cultural activist. Quese is a member of the Pawnee and Seminole Nations. Quese and his brother are founding members of Native Hip Hop group “Culture Shock Camp.”

Although Tracy Rector has always enjoyed working with youth, it’s hard to imagine her working in film. A graduate of Evergreen State College in Washington, Rector wanted to pursue herbology and work with Native medicine. She went on to earn her B.A. in communications and Native American Studies, and then a master’s degree in education from Antioch University in Seattle.

Warrior Women, is a new documentary film from Elizabeth Castle, and Christina King (Creek/Seminole/Sac & Fox). The title is based around the story of women activists who participated in the Red Power and American Indian Movement (AIM).

For the 7th Annual Longhouse Media's SuperFly Filmmaking Experience, Vision Maker Media was able to sponsor five Native youth to take part in this one-of-a-kind experience as an American Graduate initiative.

For twenty-five years, Red Earth has been committed to promoting Native Arts and Culture. In that time, Native art has seen amazing growth and change.

King’s body of work spans news, documentary and film. After producing broadcast news in her home state of Oklahoma, King went on to associate produce the documentaries Election Day (PBS), Bad Blood and human rights projects for the ACLU.

Barking Water

A lyrical road journey through the flat plains of Oklahoma, the film follows an older, estranged couple as they visit the stations of their fractured relationship. A frank, unsentimental love story, the film is also a love letter to the people and places of the director's home state. Read More... about Barking Water

Sterlin Harjo has received much praise from the film and media arts community as a filmmaker. In 2006, he was selected as the first Native American recipient of a prestigious United States Artists Fellowship.
