- My great grandmother was a full blooded Shawnee. I have a picture of her in her native dress and beads. I have always felt a part of me is still kin to Native Americans and have been sympathetic to Native American causes. Since retiring from school administration and running an AM-FM broadcast interprise, I have taken to writing and music. I have written a book on Biblical History titled "Beyond Genesis", and I found myself so affected by the story of the North Carolina Cherokee ordeal of the 1800's that I felt moved to write a song about the "Trail of Tears" tragedy of the Cherokees. I also write a blog article on Creation and Evolution on the Christian Post online newspaper.
