I am indigenous to the Matinecoc Nation of what's now called Long Island New York.  My nation of people is misrepresented as extinct.  My life has been spent sharing my experience and knowledge so that my people are no longer convinced that we must agree to be dead. I am a single parent who homeschooled my children and taught public and private schools from grades K-12 and college. I have done independent research on the history of my people, chronic oppression and the impact it has on those who are dominated and those who dominate. I worked in media while in New York, wrote and self published books and recorded tapes.
