I am blessed to have been cared for by a Navajo college student in 1956 when my mother had her 3rd child (2nd daughter) in Prairie Village, Kansas. I was a 4-5 year old kid with a mystery illness that was not full understood until about 10 years ago. I had a half of a sewing needle lodged in my left foot, some kind of infant accident that went undetected. Besides the toxic affects, it threw my balance off. I had some attitude issues, as well. Linda Honga (spelling?) somehow instilled a sense of belonging that served me well through a lot of trials that came about through-out the ensuing path. I will be forever grateful for her quiet depth and her love for children.
I have a minor degree in Native American Studies from Sonoma State U., earned in 1996.
I work in the urban forestry industry, write/journal and love song & dance, especially "native style".
